For me, the PDP feels better in hand, but I like the makeshift go fast pedal on the Echelon, so I'll call that even. But the trigger for me still goes to the PDP. The PDP hits the wall, and it breaks. The Echelon hits a wall, then has a little mush before breaking. It isn't bad, but I shoot it slower, and it reminds me too much of a Glock trigger.

This malfunction is not a true gun issue. The side like it happening because you have such a high grip, And during recoil hitting the slide lock. This is a known issue with the CR920. They use a weaker slide lock spring. Which is their own design and different from the Glock. It is a very reproducible issue if you flag your thumbs up and away from the slide lock, you will be able to run it flawless. Yes it is you and your grip that is causing the issue. Yes I own a CR 920 and I can shoot it without any issues. I can hand the same gun to my wife and she reproduces malfunction almost every time. I have it on slow motion video where you can actually see her manipulation of the slide lock causing the issue. yes I truly believe if they would change the spring tension to just a little bit more on the slide lock. It would fix the issue. do you also prove my point would you would be able to shoot it one-handed and it would also not malfunction

Happy to see a part 2 on the V-Tac. I had one in 2015. Sadly, didn't keep it long. Just acquired a used one (in 9mm). Would love to find an FDE Talon Grip. The texture on the pistol is very slick. Which grip tape is on yours??

I have been shooting for 40 years. I dont ride the reset. I have shot a few hundred rounds renting it at the range. No problems with it. I would like it optics ready.

It's a real shame the Sig started making low end handguns rather than sticking with guns like this. Someone at Sig must have passed away or retired several years back and that started the trend of making the crap they have today. Look at the new p320 and do a direct comparison with the p226, they aren't even close in quality or reliability. This is why you see everyone scramble when they see a used p226 for sale, no so with the p320. They think the 320 has something wrong with it and pass.

Appears to be a poor Mag design…. If it’s pointed left at rest it would probably be point further left or move more during firing. Though the spring in the stop could also be to weak to prevent recoil from forcing it up inadvertently…..

I was seriously thinking of getting that gun but not so sure after watching this video. Why is 357 punishing? The grips? It's not a light gun. And I don't like the light primer strikes even if you blame the ammo. It's $1500 so it better be damn good.

I know you shouldn't have to but adjusting the magazine lips would probably fix it.

Boy am I glad I ran into your video just now… I am currently in the market for my first EDC. At first I was going to go with the Canik Mete MC9, but after doing some research, it’s failed owners more often than not. So then I said screw it, I’ll just go with Glock… Then my coworker turned me on to the CR920X, I was quite impressed with it, but now I’m not so sure… I think I’m just going to go with the G43X, unless anyone has an objection???

I got a P95 recently off Gunbroker for $240 and after taxes and ffl transfer fee it was still under $300. It looks like it was only fired at factory and placed in a safe. I completely cleaned it and ran 100 fmj flawlessly.

Good video. Just wanted to mention that, since I'm considering doing USPSA and IDPA, that at least in USPSA the use of a compensator and flaired mag well can push you into "open" competition. So the Rival S might be preferred for more shooting categories within competition.

My late father had a Model 66 in 2-1/2 bbl in 357 from the early 1980s. The Model 66 is the stainless steel version of Model 19. I carry it in a Desantis pancake type holster.

If that's your thing, it's a neat Gucci-looking range toy, but I wouldn't carry that.

I have an XR920P and got the first batch when it came out in March. After some initial issues (as any new gun off the assembly line) I now have well over 6000 rounds in it during nightly COF's. Absolutely zero problems. Much better than my G45 with Ramjet. All it needed was a green dot. Looking forward to the CR920XP.

I own this gun. Mine has functioned flawlessly. My issue as a 1911 guy, if it's hammer fired and SAO it should have a manual thumb safety. Which brings up another question; why internal hammer? Why not external and shorten the slide?

I wish Glock would just go ahead and release OEM 15 round mags for the 43X so we don't have to even look at other options. Then I wouldn't have to keep switching from my 43X to my 19 for daytime/nighttime carry.

The price is too high for the issues I've had. I replaced the shoe with a Ranger Proof Vex. The pmags that came with my DR920 were junk and the followers had issues properly traveling. When I switched to Glock mags the plastic they make the mag release out of is a softer plastic than the glock mags so around 500rds in they had eaten the mag release to the point they would fall out every few shots. Replaced that with a aluminum extended mag release no issues afterwards. My new problem now is the comp. I'm not lazy with cleaning but the design is just made to promote carbon build up. 3500rds in and I'm probably going to have to just shelf it forever they wont sell me a replacement comp for the dr920p and I'm almost past the point where a ball bit and a dremel can keep ensuring rounds clear the comp. The mag release and trigger issues aside I loved it at first it was comfertable and a nail driver even out to 100yds. But only having owned it since Nov. and having weekly issues for what I paid is unacceptable. I shouldn't buy a 1100 dollar pistol and have to do a full polish job, trigger job, mag release mod, and recoil spring adjustment to get it to be as reliable as the cheaper version it copied. I hope they get their shit together because USA needs to mean something again in the manufacturing world.

I’ve had issues with the canik mc9. Canik sent me a new one but already had out of battery issues! Not even sure what to do with it at this point 🤷🏼‍♂️ very disappointed. I know this isn’t a canik just saying the gun I recently had issues with.thanks for the honest review because a lot Of reviews are bs 👍🏼

Justin, I got aggravated by my sight degradation because all my life, before age 42, I had extraordinary vision, much better than 20-20. Then at age 42 my near vision went bad and has only gotten worse. Now, at age 68, even my far vision is going bad. I just shake my head…Thanks for sharing…from east Tennessee.

I picked up the XDmE for a hunting trip I had planned in brown bear country. The pistol has been a pleasure to shoot and it carries well. The hunting trip did not happen, but I have grown to love the XDmE.👊 Today, I have now acquired a CMMG MK10 Banshee, and I am looking at either the G29 or G20 for the magazine compatibility with the Banshee. I have never owned a Glock, I spent way to many years shooting 1911's. But I think I am going to actually force myself to learn to shoot a Glock with it's foreign grip angle.🤷‍♂ Having a 10mm subgun and pistol that share magazine compatibility just makes sense...🤷‍♂ Currently, the G20 is winnning because of the afterrmarket support.👊
